Designing new hybrid work experiences, toward the new normal
We have been working for years to support organizations in the adoption of more collaborative and open work dynamics. What we did for Enel and its people was to start a process toward a change – the next normal – designing initiatives for the new hybrid work experience together with the same people who will then have to live this experience.

We started by researching and listening to understand the company’s vision and goals. We adopted a people-centric perspective to address issues related to hybrid work, with a focus on Diversity&Inclusion, arriving to the definition of the work experience’s personas.

Co-creating the future of their work together with the client

During the co-design workshops with people from the different ENEL countries, we began the investigation of the current work experience through the lens of the 4 personas identified. We used typical service design tools such as journey map, lifecycle map and relationship map. The information gathered further detailed the personas, revealing their motivations, aspirations and pain points.

Thanks to the co-design process, we identified 11 core values, which were declined into a future vision of journey and lifecycle and then into strategic initiatives for the transition toward Enel’s new normal.

Strategic Roadmap

Towards transformation… and beyond!

As a result of this long journey, we have identified 21 strategic initiatives that will guide Enel toward its ongoing transformation and growth.

By combining the knowledge of change management, behavioral design and organizational culture with that of service design, data analysis and strategic evaluation, we have been able to transform the vision of the future from its principles to a plan for its materialization in the reality of daily work.
